Daniela Werbeniec

Daniela works at Google as an analyst on its government affairs and public policy team for Central and Eastern Europe. Before joining Google, she worked at Gazeta Wyborcza Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the most prominent daily newspaper in Poland, Gazeta Wyborcza. As communications and project manager she co-organized the Ukrainian Media Fund to support and rebuild local Ukrainian media, and was pivotal to the success of the Fund. Daniela also co-developed the Investigative Journalism Initiative, a national program providing financial grants and legal support for investigative journalists in Poland, the first such program in the CEE region. Daniela was selected as a ‘Rising Star’ in the leadership category of the International News Media Association’s ‘30 under 30’ Awards and is a Humanity in Action Senior Fellow.
