Jakub Dovcik works in the Political Leadership unit at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, where he focuses on rethinking the functioning of central government institutions for more effective use of executive authority in driving modernisation. Prior to that, he worked at the Government Office of the Slovak Republic, most recently as a private secretary and policy aide to two Prime Ministers. Before joining the Office of the Prime Minister, he was the first employee of VAIA – Research and Innovation Authority of the Slovak government, where he worked as a policy advisor and chief of staff to the first Chief Innovation Officer of the Slovak government. Jakub studied technology policy at the University of Cambridge and development economics and economic anthropology at the London School of Economics and King’s College London.
