As part of the core priority of Education, Aspen Institute CE, in collaboration with the organization Učitel naživo, organized regional debates and a conference focusing on school principals and statutory authorities. The basis for each debate was a study entitled “To Heat and Shine Is No Longer Enough“, which is available in the Czech language. The events took place in various regions of the Czech Republic:

• How Do They Cooperate in the Vysočina Region? Jihlava, April
• How to Achieve Quality Schools That Put Children First? Prague, May
• What is Going Well in the Ústí Region? Ústí nad Labem, September
A summary report (available in Czech) outlines who participated in the individual debates, the most common challenges repeated throughout all debates, and the recommendations on which the participants agreed.
