
Matúš Tomovčík
MATÚŠ TOMOVČÍK joined the Aspen Institute Central Europe in October 2024 as an intern, recording, editing, and publishing social media posts as part of the Aspen Institute Central Europe Annual Conference PR campaign. In March 2025, Matúš became a full member of the team as a Social Media and Program Manager. His primary responsibilities include the administration of the Aspen Institute Central Europe webpage as well as the social media platforms Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Previously, Matúš worked as an intern for the European Development Agency.
Outside the office, Matúš studies political science and international relations at the Charles University in Prague, where he is a member of the Political Science Club. As a club member he is primarily concerned with helping out the Academic Section of the Political Science Club, which organizes debates with public figures such as former US Congress speaker Paul Ryan or former Slovak president Zuzana Čaputová, as well as many others. He was a member of the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits and is a co-founder of the Student Forum of Slovaks Abroad.
