Pavla Francke

As a former cross-country skier, Pavla and her husband founded their own business in 2019: HAAKON, which produces cross-country skiing poles. The impulse for this move was the excessively high market prices of poles and their low-quality craftsmanship without the possibility of purchasing spare parts. They decided to offer the highest possible quality at affordable prices under the HAAKON brand and introduced an innovation in the market called the tube replacement guarantee. The HAAKON brand has an ongoing collaboration with the Technical University in Liberec and specializes in the production of cross-country and Nordic walking poles. Today, they export their products to Germany, France, Spain, Poland, and Canada and are the official partner of the junior national team in cross-country skiing and biathlon. Pavla is responsible for marketing communication and business development in the company and in 2022, she placed second in the Enterprising Woman competition.
