Milan Nič is Senior Fellow at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) for Central Europe and the Western Balkans. Previously, he was director of the GLOBSEC Policy Institute and CEPI think-tanks, advisor to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Slovakia, and to the EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2007–2009). He began his professional career as a broadcaster at Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty in Prague, and was later program director at the Pontis Foundation based in Bratislava. Milan earned his MPhil from Charles University in Prague, his MA at the Central European University in Budapest, and also studied at SAIS Johns Hopkins University’s Bologna Center. He is the co-author of a book of essays on Slovak and EU foreign policy (2010).
