Vlastimil has been the Founding Managing Director of Chateau Mcely – Spa hotel and Forest Retreat in the Czech Republic since its opening in 2006. In 2009, Vlastimil received the Green Manager of the Year award, and the chateau also received the following awards: Best Restaurant in the Czech Republic according to Grand Restaurant 2014, Best Luxury Destination Spa 2012, Luxury Spa Awards 2012, European Green Resort 2011, World´s Leading Green Hotel 2008, Green Hotel 2007 and Best of Reality 2006. Before his career at the chateau he worked as a Supply Manager of the Logistic Department at Nutricia, Bank Officer of the International Trade Department at Citibank and Assistant Manager at the Zatiší Group.
