Michal Salát

AYLP 2022 I.

Michal Salát studied computer science at CTU Prague and for a year at Texas Tech University in the USA. Since high school, he has done system administration and programming jobs as a freelancer and after his second year at the university, he joined Avast as a Malware Analyst. His interest in malware research led him to building and leading a threat intelligence team. Michal was also briefly leading Avast’s office in Texas, which focused on IoT (in)security. He was part of the management team during the acquisition of AVG which sparked his interest in various aspects of people management. He is frequently providing input for the media and talking about cyber security at conferences.
