On May 14, 2019, a round table with the title Shaping Effective Innovation Policy, took place in Prague. The high-level discussion, a joint project of the Aspen Institute Central Europe and the Embassy of the Netherlands, was not meant to be a single event, but rather a starting point for a series of expert meetings to discuss innovation policies, share best practices, inspire and encourage further cooperation between Netherlands‘ and Czech governments, scientific institutions, business and innovative companies including startups. The event took place with the kind support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The gathering of prominent speakers both from the Netherlands and the Czech Republic had the privilege to discuss innovation strategies with the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Karel Havlíček.

The outcomes of the meeting will be presented at future policy meetings dedicated to particular priority industry sectors.
