Aspen Seminar for Young European Leaders
Following inspiring and successful conventions of the Aspen Seminar for Young European Leaders programs that have been organized since 2017, we are delighted to announce the launch of the fifth edition jointly organized by the Aspen Initiative for Europe, Aspen Institute Central Europe and Aspen Institute Romania.
The seminar will be held in Liblice, Czech Republic, on September 9-12, 2021, at Castle Liblice, a conference center of the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic.
The seminar will be conducted in the classic Aspen manner and based on a selection of texts by prominent European and non-European thinkers and philosophers. The discussions on the readings will address topical issues, explore common values and timeless questions, and ultimately examine the questions today’s young generation faces in tackling questions of European identity and how they should engage with European ideals.
The seminar will be moderated by Leigh Hafrey, senior lecturer in the Behavioral and Policy Sciences at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and Ruth Girardet, Member of the Board, Open University, London.
