Lorenzo Marsili

is an author and social entrepreneur. In 2008 he co-founded transnational NGO European Alternatives, and he is now of the organisation’s directors. He is among the initiators of pan-European movement DiEM25 and, since 2018, a member of the Board of Directors of the international NGO CIVICUS. He is a regular contributor to international newspapers, including The Guardian, Al Jazeera, and Il Fatto Quotidiano, and a regular guest for France24, BBC World and Italian television. His latest book is “Citizens of Nowhere: How to Save Europe from Itself ” (Zed Books, 2018; German edition forthcoming by Suhrkamp Verlag, 2019). He holds degrees in Philosophy and Chinese Studies from the University of London and SOAS. He is currently finishing a new book entitled “New Internationalism”.
