Get the one full scholarship to the Aspen Young Leaders Program 2024!

Aspen Institute Central Europe and Meltingpot Forum/Colours of Ostrava Festival share the same values, similar audiences and promote ideas that contribute to the development of our society. Because of their shared values, we have opened this special Call for Applications.

Aspen Institute Central Europe will provide one full scholarship to the Aspen Young Leaders Program 2024 (AYLP) to an attendee of the Meltingpot Forum. The Aspen Young Leaders Program is a key program of the Aspen Institute: a leadership program that brings together young professionals from Central Europe from a variety of disciplines.

This is a unique opportunity for aspiring leaders!

Meltingpot Forum is an international discussion forum within the Colours of Ostrava Festival – it is the largest forum in Central and Eastern Europe. Together, we want to offer a full scholarship to one of the Meltingpot visitors, who also considers himself or herself a leader at the beginning of his or her career.

What’s in store for you? Four days full of lectures, discussions, and workshops with renowned speakers will allow participants to discover new professional perspectives, develop their potential, and expand interdisciplinary cooperation. Networking and making new friends from a wide variety of fields is also an important part of AYLP. Speakers you may have met at AYLP in the past include artist and dancer Yemi A.D., former Slovak President Andrej Kiska, well-known athlete Adam Ondra, artificial intelligence expert Tomas Mikolov, and many others.

What do you have to do to get a full scholarship? You must be a guest of the Meltingpot Forum/Colours of Ostrava 2024 festival, consider yourself an emerging leader and be aged 22-35. In addition, you must send us a completed application form. The participant will be selected by a committee from Aspen Institute CE and the Meltingpot Forum team.

  • The deadline for this Call is July 24, 2024, 23:59. Applications sent after this date will not be accepted for the Call.
  • The Aspen Young Leaders Program will take place August 22-25, 2024 in the Czech Republic. The selected participant will receive all relevant information after the selection process is completed.
  • The result of this call will be announced on Thursday, July 29, 2024.
