Transatlantic Solidarity in Times of COVID-19 – A Bipartisan Congressional Perspective

On May 19, 2020, The Aspen Institute Germany in partnership with the Aspen Institute Central Europe, the Aspen Institute France, the Aspen Institute Italia, the Aspen Institute Kyiv and the Aspen Institute Romania hosted a virtual discussion on “Transatlantic Solidarity in Times of COVID-19 – A Bipartisan Congressional Perspective” with Congressman William R. Keating (D-MA) and Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Europe, Eurasia, Energy and Environment Subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee in the United States House of Representatives.

This virtual conversation with the two leading Euro-Watchers in the US House of Representatives and a pan-European audience focused on how COVID-19 has affected transatlantic relations and solidarity. It addressed issues around US leadership, transatlantic trade, NATO’s role in the COVID-19 crisis and China.

This discussion was recorded and can be found on Aspen Germany’s YouTube Channel.
