Joanna Gwizdak has been a Family Judge of the District Court Chorzów (1. instance) for 23 years. Dealing with cases of parental responsibility, contacts between parents and children, maintenance, juvenile delinquency, psychiatric treatment, and a few other categories. Practitioner of mediation and negotiation. Qualified trainer of social skills, usually using David Kolb’s method of learning by experiencing. Took part in the Flying University of Human Rights project supervised by the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk. Constantly learning and participating in seminars on international family law, mediation, and judgecraft. Fan of the writers Olga Tokarczuk, Dorota Masłowska, kizomba dance, and windsurfing.
