Marian Jurečka, current Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, is a graduate of the Faculty of Agronomy at Mendel University in Brno. He lives in Rokytnice near Olomouc with his wife and five sons. Between 2014 and 2017, Marian served as Minister of Agriculture; since 2020, he has been the leader of the Christian and Democratic Union – Czechoslovak People’s Party, in which he has been active since 1999. He plays the tuba and pan flute, organizes benefit concerts and is a lifelong scout.
