Martin Schulze Wessel
Martin Schulze Wessel is Professor of Eastern European History at Ludwig Maximilian University Munich. His main research fields are the history of international relations between Prussia (resp. Germany), Poland and Russia since the eighteenth century. In 2015, he founded the German-Ukrainian Historical Commission together with Professor Yaroslav Hrytsak, Catholic University of Lviv. His latest book is The Curse of the Empire: Ukraine, Poland, and the Wrong Turn in Russian History (2023).
