MARTIN ŠEVČÍK, after completing his studies in energy engineering in Czechia and Sweden, joined ČEZ Trading, where he currently leads the market analytics team. The trading department operates across major energy commodities, spanning its reach over markets in Europe, Asia, and North America. The role of his team is to closely monitor the latest developments and forecast future trends to help the company navigate the ever-changing energy market. Notably, during the energy crisis of 2022, Martin contributed to a critical project aimed at providing Czechia with access to the global gas market through the Eemshaven LNG terminal in the Netherlands.
