MATOUŠ GLANC is the Director of Czexpats in Science, a grassroots non-profit that builds a community of Czech scientists around the world and advocates for an open, world-class science environment in Czechia. Originally a molecular biologist, he studied the mechanisms of polarization in plant cells during a PhD in Austria and a postdoc in Belgium. In his student years, Matouš co-founded Ramus – a platform for young people with and without disabilities to meet together and actively use their free time and was active in experiential education as an Instructor & Management Board Member at Jules a Jim. Outside of work, Matouš is a passionate cyclist and a proud father of two girls.
