Peter Bátor
PETER BÁTOR has served as a diplomat, analyst, policy adviser, and speechwriter for two Presidents of Slovakia, as well as for ministers, deputy ministers, and ambassadors. His diplomatic experience includes a posting to Slovakia’s Permanent Delegation to NATO in Brussels, where he served as Deputy Permanent Representative and Chief Political Adviser. Before NATO, he was Director of the Cabinet and adviser to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. At the Slovak Ministry of Defence, he held positions such as Director of the International Crisis Management and Arms Control Division, NATO analyst, and legal adviser. Peter focuses on foreign and security policy, emphasizing NATO, the Eastern Flank, the Western Balkans, and international conflicts. Recently, he has concentrated on cyber security. He has field experience in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kosovo. He holds MA and PhD in international affairs and diplomacy from Matej Bel University and is married with two children.
