Tomáš Pojar
Tomáš Pojar serves as an advisor for national security in the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic. He also held the position of Deputy Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic up until August 2023. Between 2014 and 2022, he worked as the Vice-Rector at CEVRO Institute, and simultaneously provided consultation in the fields of defense and security. He completed his studies in Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University and Counter-Terrorism Studies and Homeland Security at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Israel. He began his career in 1995 at the non-governmental humanitarian organization Člověk v tísni (People in Need), which he later led. He remained with the organization until 2005 when he joined the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he served as Deputy Minister for Bilateral Relations and then as the First Deputy Minister for Security Matters, EU Affairs, and Bilateral Relations with European States. He was the Czech Ambassador to Israel from 2010 to 2014.
