Wojciech Lorenz is the head of the International Security Program at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM). He holds a Ph.D. degree in Political Science and Administration from Warsaw University. His research includes NATO, deterrence and Polish security, and defense policy. Prior to joining PISM in 2012, Wojciech worked as a journalist for Polish Radio, the Polish Section of the BBC World Service in London, and the national daily Rzeczpospolita. In 2013 and 2014, he served as a civilian specialist in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission in Afghanistan. In 2014, Wojciech was the co-director of a NATO-sponsored workshop held in Ukraine, “Strengthening Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure”. In 2021, PISM published a book entitled Deterrence, Strategy and Politics.
