Aspen Institute CE priorities include Educational Leadership (focusing on school principals) and Upskilling. We serve as a platform for connecting relevant stakeholders from the business, government, NGOs, and academia. In cooperation with experts from various fields we conduct studies, organize public debates and expert roundtables. Last but not least, we are raising awareness of the issue and process recommendations, which we further distribute among relevant departments and stakeholders.

Educational Leadership & School Principals

School principals are the key figures in school systems. They are managers who have a significant impact on the quality of teaching and the educational outcomes of their schools. Despite this, they are exposed to obstacles such as excessive administrative burdens, insufficient support, etc. In our debates, we discuss possible ways to improve the position of school principals in the Czech education system and the importance of the relationship between statutory authorities and school management.
Upskilling & Reskilling

Upskilling means lifelong learning in order to retain employees and create new jobs in a dynamically evolving environment. The need for lifelong learning is critical to the Czech economy and its ability to compete in the long term. Our activities emphasize the importance of enabling people to adapt to a fast-changing job market to remain employable.
Other

Aspen Institute CE has been involved in other education topics. We discussed areas in education such as - regional disparities and education and education competitiveness. At the same time, we build on the traditional cooperation with International Film Festival for Children and Youth and organize in Zlín every year a region-based debate.
