Andrej Kiska
Andrej Kiska is the former President of Slovakia (2014–2019). He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Slovak University of Technology. After graduation, he spent a year and a half in the United States, before returning to Slovakia and co-founding Tatracredit, a company that implemented catalog installment systems called Triangel and Quatro; these later became the largest installment systems in Slovakia. In 2005, the company was purchased by the General Slovak Credit Bank (VÚB) and merged into Consumer Finance Holding, with Andrej Kiska serving as a member of the Board of Directors until 2007. In 2006, Andrej Kiska co-founded Dobrý anjel (“Good angel”), a non-profit charitable organization providing help to families that have found themselves in a difficult financial situation as a result of a family member contracting a serious disease (such as cancer). Currently, he is active in the fields of both business and philanthropy.
